43 years strong {1000 words #8}

A picture is worth a 1000 words

Delving into my image archive to re-publish a series of images that encapsulate meaning and emotion

This is a very special image for me as it features my own Mum and Dad. This particular photo shoot was a 41st anniversary present for my parents. Preserving memories is what I try to do for my clients day in and day out and I try to do that for me and my family at every given opportunity too, when time permits!

This particular image comes at a very fitting time. My mum and Dad celebrated their 43rd wedding anniversary last week! Now that’s impressive! We’re only 40 years behind you mum and dad!

This image was taken from a very low view-point. In fact I was lying on the ground (where I can often be found during a photo shoot!), nestled in between a sea of daffodils, shooting up a grass verge. The daffodils give away the time of year- a fresh mid-March morning in Spring in Cannizaro Park, Wimbledon, London. I simply put them in the right light, asked them to ‘just enjoy the moment’ and a few seconds later this image was taken. My mum and dad are quite used to being in front of the camera (as you can imagine) as they’ve had it pointed at them ever since I picked up a camera in the early 90’s!

This medium-sized framed image (my brother-in-law bought it as a present for my sister) is framed in a very stylish white/cream curved ‘loft’ frame and mounted in a paperwrap mount. The paperwrap mount consists of mount board face paper wrapped around a deep 7mm bevelled board. The frame and mount are utterly gorgeous but they don’t distract the eye from the beautiful, colour popping, memorable print. The frame is hung on the wall going up the stairs at my sister’s house and is a feature frame amongst (a lot) of other precious framed memories.

I am very happy to offer a personal home design consultation to discuss your frame options. I can advise you where best to hang your framed images and help you decide which frames complement your home’s interior. Following your Home design consultation, using the latest technology, I can give you a graphic design solution of how your frames will actually look on the walls of your own home. Please feel free to get in contact to discuss your ideas.
