Wedding Photographer Surrey | Stef & Santi Get Married

Well, what can I say about Stef and Santi's wedding? I think the inclusion of many many pictures in a single blog post tell you just how much Charlie and I enjoyed this wedding. From the moment I spoke on the phone to Stef and met her and Santi for their wedding consultation, and of course their glorious pre-wedding shoot, I knew their big day was going to be something very special. However, the actual day exceeded all of my expectations! It was an absolutely wonderful day for everyone involved. Stef and Santi's attention to detail was astonishing...although I think it was Stef that had the … [Read more...]

Pre-Wedding Photographer Piccadilly, London- Sarah and Chris

This was a specially tailored route for Sarah and Chris' pre-wedding shoot. Charlie and I met this lovely couple for a quick coffee and chat at the Royal Academy of Arts and then off we went! We started off at Savile Row, then ventured onto New Bond Street and Green Park via The Royal Academy of Art Courtyard and The Ritz. Chris appropriately called it 'The Tourist Route'. However we started the pre-wedding shoot slightly earlier than usual to avoid the Tourist rush...and it paid off! Sarah and Chris were great fun to photograph and they were very relaxed in front of the camera. Charlie and I … [Read more...]

43 years strong {1000 words #8}

A picture is worth a 1000 words Delving into my image archive to re-publish a series of images that encapsulate meaning and emotion This is a very special image for me as it features my own Mum and Dad. This particular photo shoot was a 41st anniversary present for my parents. Preserving memories is what I try to do for my clients day in and day out and I try to do that for me and my family at every given opportunity too, when time permits! This particular image comes at a very fitting time. My mum and Dad celebrated their 43rd wedding anniversary last week! Now that's impressive! We're … [Read more...]

Pre-Wedding Photographer Southbank, London- Stef & Santi

I believe that to create wonderful photography you need to have a strong connection with your subject. I definitely clicked with Stef and Santi, and from our first conversation, I knew their wedding was going to be a great adventure! In fact for most of the phone conversation we spoke about all things except photography! When I met them for a consultation all of this was confirmed.Stef and Santi are childhood sweethearts, they met when they were 16 and 17 - very rare to come across nowadays. It's clear to see that Stef and Santi were made for each other. Both are originally from Surrey but … [Read more...]

Young at heart {1000 words #7}

A picture is worth a 1000 words Delving into my image archive to re-publish a series of images that encapsulate meaning and emotion This framed image is proudly displayed in my viewing room as a sample frame. Sitting pretty on a wall at the top of the stairs it is one of the most talked about photos in my viewing room. It brings back many fond memories early on in my wedding photography career and has stood the test of time and featured in my 'favourites' for many years. The bride and groom, Rachel and Matt had just been married (at St Luke's Church, Duston, Northamptonshire) and arrived … [Read more...]

Alone in the city {1000 words #5}

A picture is worth a 1000 words Delving into my image archive to re-publish a series of images that encapsulate meaning and emotion A near silhouette photograph of a couple set against the backdrop of the iconic London cityscape. This image was taken last year in Southbank on the bank of the river Thames in the height of summer (it was a bit blustery and rainy!) You'd be excused for thinking that this is a beautifully observed shot of a random couple cleverly captured as they pass by. However it is a staged ('posed to look natural'-I prefer to say) image taken for one of my wedding … [Read more...]

Classic yet so memorable {1000 words #4}

A picture is worth a 1000 words Delving into my image archive to re-publish a series of images that encapsulate meaning and emotion This type of image is the epitome of expression and connection. It was taken at a wedding reception at the Harwood Arms, Fulham, London. There was lots of lovely natural light flooding into the room via the many tall windows in the building. I'll never tire of this sort of image. Classic yet so memorable. It reveals so many emotions and you can almost feel the happiness that this gorgeous family were feeling on their big day. Creating and preserving memories … [Read more...]

First look {1000 words #2}

A picture is worth a 1000 words Delving into my image archive to re-publish a series of images that encapsulate meaning and emotion This image was taken at a wedding at St John The Evangelist church in the beautiful village of Frieth in Marlow, Buckinghamshire. It captures the bride's first look at her groom. My position in the church was slightly obscured so I had to make the most of the challenging angle and I was very pleased to capture this split-second glance between the bride and groom. This is a strong, clean image and it deserves to be showcased in a simple white frame with a deep … [Read more...]
